PD for eyeglasses is not included in the prescription. To ensure vision accuracy, satisfaction and the highest standard of optical care, the provider making your eyeglasses is responsible and liable for these optical measurements. A good optical lens fitting requires to do optical measurements with the patient’s frame they choose and how they wear it. To ensure you’re seeing the best, it is always recommended to have an eye care professional complete optical measurements when patient’s need new lenses. Optical measurements are only necessary to ensure our lab properly makes the lenses into the frame, which is quality controlled by our licensed eye care professionals.

Most independent opticals or Optometrist clinics include optical measurements when getting new eyeglasses or lenses with them to factor in any changes (i.e. face, eyes, prescription, frame shape, how the frame is worn etc.). We encourage to trust their expertise and recommend purchasing directly from an Optometrist or Optician, but feel free to shop around as we care and want the best for your vision. However, if you do order online, please understand the risks and potential quality issues. You get what you pay for.
