How You Can Help Us
As you are likely aware, the COVID-19 Coronavirus strain is making its way around the world. At Kodak Lens Vision Centres, we are taking steps to help prevent the spread of the virus to help protect our patients, team and the community.
If you are scheduled for a routine eye exam and are feeling unwell with symptoms such as fever, sore throat, cough, sneezing or difficulty breathing or have been in close contact with someone with those symptoms please refrain from attending any appointments or accompanying patients to their appointment.
Please contact us to let us know if you are unable to attend your appointment.
If you are experiencing an ocular emergency AND are feeling unwell, please call us to inform of your symptoms prior to arrival at the clinic.
What We Are Doing for Our Community
We have implemented heightened cleaning regimens including the frequent disinfection of frequently touched surfaces and we have added additional hand disinfectant dispensers throughout the clinic. Our team is keeping up with updates from from Health Canada to ensure that we are taking appropriate precautions as new information becomes available.
What You Can Do If You Are Visiting Us
If you are visiting us, we ask that you help keep the environment as safe as possible for our other patients as we have a large number of elderly patients who are at an increased risk of suffering serious effects should they contract COVID-19 or even the common flu.
Upon arrival at our clinic, we ask that you disinfect your hands by washing and or by using hand sanitizer which is readily available throughout the clinic. Please repeat this process should you touch your eyes, nose or mouth. We thank you in advance for your cooperation!
Preventative Tips You Should Know
The Toronto Public Health (TPH) and the Minister of Health have made recommendations that business and organizations do their part to help mitigate and slow the spread of this virulent disease.
While TPH and Public Health Ontario (PHO) both report that there is no Community Spread of the virus in Toronto, Kodak Lens Vision Centres is taking a proactive and preventative approach to keeping our patients, customers and team safe.
As a reminder, please take a moment and read through these everyday actions that will help you remain healthy:
We encourage everyone to wash their hands thoroughly and often with soap and water or an alcohol-based sanitizer.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Avoid close contact with people who are ill.
If you are feeling unwell, stay home.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue (immediately throw the tissue in the garbage and wash your hands).
If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your sleeve or arm.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects.
